Kraftin Kimmie Halloween Card "perfect poison"

This is an unmounted set from Kraftin Kimmie. Really fast service and refunded excess shipping when it cost less than expected. NICE!!  The card is my first attempt at the tutorial by Beate Johns on SSC.  She is so talented.  (this is actually my second attempt, didn't even put the first one together right! LOL).

The card is in two pieces. The character is mounted on the paper band that hold the card together.

Love this stamp!  She looks so diabolical and sweet at the same time.  From far away you wouldn't notice her dress etc. then you would move closer and it would be too late!  BOO!

Inside of the card

Card all folded together.  I zigzaged the paper on my machine.  Need to work on getting it straighter.

Here it is all together.

First Halloween Card of 2011

Well it is officially fall in Spokane now. So I got in the mood for halloween.  I bought a new Martha Stewart punch yesterday for 1/2 off so I had to try it. This card measures 5 1/2 X 6. The purple and copper paper in the middle is one of the modified polished stone papers I was fiddling around with the other day.  I like how the spider seems to be hidden in web on the copper area. There is sparkling glitter between the orange web. I ran this part through the Xyron and there was adhesive showing so I sprinkled glitter there.  Quite a fun accident. The bottom of the card is washi tape I got on Ebay.  I had been hearing about it so I wanted to try some.

Penguin Pants spider, the sentiment is unmounted so ?? as to who to give credit to.  I use this stamp every year.

Monthly SU club

The punch card was fabulous this month.  Lots of pieces but well worth all the cutting and glueing.  It is also an easel card.  My husband stole the third card to send to his aunt before I could take a pic.

Love the grungy flower.  Right up my alley so to speak!

Rolodex I is for insect

These are not pesky bugs for sure...well mine could have been long ago.

All out Fabric Post Card Swap.

This is the same group as the loteria swap.  Usually they have swaps that are postcard size.  The loteria swap is ATC sized.  This is my first fabric creation. Such fun!

The base for this postcard is a heavy wide weave material. The leaves are a die cut from Tim Holtz. I ironed on fusable paper to the material  first then die cut them and then fused them to the base.  I did a decorative stitch around the edges in a metallic copper thread and hand beaded the leaves.

This is the back of the postcard. I wanted to continue with the leaf theme.  The stamp is an unmounted stamp so I don't know the company.  All the leaves are fused to a kraft cardstock after I stamped the image

Loteria Swap ATCS

These are the first two loteria swaps I have received.  The following pic. are my two that I sent off.  This is a great swap!

This is by Karen Traweek. A great postcard with the ATC inside!

This beauty is by Chris Wheeler who is also the group moderator.

New Cards

I was having an experiment day in the Stamp Room (I capitalize it because it is the best room in the house!!) and I came up with these cards.  The first one is done with the Tim Holtz ornamental die, the SU embossing folder. I used the new label punch for the sentiment.  I punched out the ends of the white sentiment and mounted it on silver (the left overs look just like airplane propellers to me!) The edge punch is a fiskars that also embosses ( $3.99 at Ross, love a bargain!)  The butterflies are part of the experiment.  I did a polished stone with alcohol inks then I embossed with clear powder the metallic part that dries more slowly.  It is a fun technique. Well enough of my blah blah blah.....

Second card is a quick birthday card for one of my husbands work mates.  She loves to fly and I guess is an amateur pilot.  This is the new Tim Holtz airplane with the same Penguin Pants sentiments.  I used my new ruffled ribbon from my SU ribbon share.  It matched perfect with the paper I had.
