Handmade Napkins and Memory Wire Napkin Rings

These are so fun to make!!  I really like the material and I think they could be for any season or occasion.  I made them reversible so one side is red with the print border and the other side has a solid red border.  It took me a couple of  "experiments" before I came up with a design that was easy yet looked finished.  I found the matching beads at Joann's ( the green blue pearls) on sale for 1.97...don't you love a bargain.  I really have a ton of beads but these matched perfect.  The napkin rings are on memory wire.  I need to work with this more as it is quite fun and very fast.

Vintage ATC....Central collage swap

The challenge on this ATC swap was to make the center of the ATC the focus.  You had to leave a substantial amount of the white card showing.  This was WAY HARD for me.  LOL.  I wanted so bad to add a border, color, distressing etc.  I ended up running this through the vagabond for the background.  It is still white...so I didn't cheat!

Very interesting interpretations of  "Dream".  I really enjoyed the variety.

Distressed Flowers

This is a card using the very last of my favorite SU paper from the mini catalog.  I just love the brown background and the flowers.  Very vintage wallpaper feel.  I thought I would enter this this the Simon Says Stamp and Paper Pals as it has both distressing and flowers.  Why Not??

Cloe Helping

My kitten Cloe helps me craft all the time.  Yesterday morning she had a roll of adhesive dots unrolled all the way down the hall...just in case I needed them!  Here she is today helping me take pictures.

Cloe is over six months old now...she is getting so long and lean.  If she grows into her tail she will be a good sized cat.

Upcycled Used ribbon spool

I saw this idea somewhere in my online travels.  I used up the last of a spool of ribbon and I remembered this great box idea.  It works perfect for jewelry or other small gift.  Very fun to make too.  I used the Spellbinders flower for the top.  You can use any top the key is the firm spool portion.  I think the inside done with a flocking would be nice as well.

Box all tied up

Don't you think flocking would look great too?

More SU fun

Our new club for Stampin Up started Tuesday.  Such fun!! I really liked all the ideas and great company as usual.

This is such a great idea for a basket.  The cupcake bottom and the regular oval then over-punched with a scallop oval

Close up of the basket.  I thought the hearts were a cute idea too.

Card Holders

This is another great idea that I got from ATCs International.  I probably have several hundred old SU blocks in a huge box in the basement.  Well.....what is a person to do with them?  My husband carves his own stamps so he uses a few but not enough to even make a dent. I went to the recommended site and their are a few good ideas of how to use up those blocks.
The site link is:    http://rubberroadadventures.ning.com/   So here are my 2 card holders I made today.  I went a bit wacky with the wire and it holds a card or atc fine.  Just didn't want to do the usual spiral.

These are SU stamps.  This is one side...

....and this is the other.  They are painted gold and I embossed the image then covered it with a sealer.

Doily Swap

These are my cards for the doily swap in my Spokane stamp group.  I couldn't decide what direction to make the card so I made both.  Same thing with the color of the roses.   I made the first one then I got an idea for the gold frame.  This is a UTEE cracking technique which gives you very random results and makes each card unique.
The two different styles.  Which one do you like best?

Tin full of Tags

Had a great time at Sunny's house on Wednesday night.  We made tags out of the new SU paper and tag set.  This set is a "preview" from the catalog that comes out in July.  I didn't have time to finish them all but here is a sample.  We made three of most of these tags.  I am punch challenged so Sunny finally did my red tag with the roses for me....

Are you tired of charms yet??

I am not tired of them....not yet.  I have had so much fun experimenting with different paints and finishes.  Here is the latest batch.  When I get a few more I might even make something from them!
I know...more crowns

I think these butterflies would look great on a card or etc. as well as jewelry

This charm started out silver metal, just a "plain Jane" but I really like it now.

Sewing Mania

There are so many new sewing themed stamps, papers, brads....etc. etc.  Well I am definitely smitten buy them.  I guess it is the comfort of hand made goods of all sorts that captures my interest.  Here is my first card.  I purchased the background and the dress form at a stamp fair this last weekend and I think they are from Lost Coast.  The button and thread spool are stampin up.

New Charms

I was playing with a bunch of new colors and finishes with these charms.  The one blue/green patina crown I added gems to dress it up a bit.

So Sweet

Busy, busy week so finally getting to do some crafting.  I signed up for a couple of swaps so I am working on the cupcake swap first.  This is my prototype...I guess I will see if I use it for the swap or change it up a bit.
