Such a difference color makes!!

A friend of mine, Claudia, has been giving me great examples for inspiration as well as some great SU stamp sets! These cards are made with the template she gave me. I had her own card to show as well but I accidently goobered it up :-(  I made the spring/summer color combo first then used distress colors for a change of pace.  Thanks again Claudia!

"Torn Down the Middle Card"

This is my interpretation of this great card created by Dawn at Dawns stamping videos which you can see here: http://dawnsstampingthoughts.typepad.com/dawns_stampin_studio/2012/06/postage-due-video-.html.  I really like this new set from Stampin Up. You may remember there was another card made with this set that I posted from the club night at Sunny's house.

New Card

Work....work...work!! I have been working alot lately and no time for play! Well how dull is that?  I have the next 5 days off so I plan to make up for it.  This card is a start. I always like the effect watercolor has on cards. I think this card really has a vintage feel. I used distress reinkers to watercolor and used the matching distress paper and sanded it.

Wine Cork Mystery

Still working on the wine corks...... This project is slightly more involved than I anticipated. Very fun though!

Little Dress Card

I cut out this little dress several weeks ago and never got around to making a card.  This gave me trouble for some reason. I came up with this after a very welcome from my daughter Anali who was visiting. 

Another fun Stampin Up night

We had another wonderful Stampin Up night at Sunny's house. I always love the punch card and I think the one this month is one of my favorites...its right up there with the crow!  The bird card really highlights the new colors.  The last is just great with the "highlight". Some of the older techniques need to be revisited. I get hung up sometimes on the "latest and newest" and forget to use some really elegant older techniques.

Is this so cute or what???  It is made with the flower petal punch and others. See if you can pick out the others!

I think I should have moved the stamps over to the left more!

Wine Corks

This is a mystery project...what do you do with a coping saw,sandpaper and a BAZILLION wine corks? Well, you will have to stay tuned to see.  LOL
